Have you booked your wedding with us? Awesome! We are so excited to be capturing your special wedding day!

We realize there are lots of questions as you go throughout the wedding planning process. One thing we ask all our brides and grooms to do is fill out a questionnaire. Yes, it will take a bit of time...but we do it to help with your wedding planning and answer questions you may not have even thought of on your own!

How do you know what photos we care most about? Typically we advise all couples prepare a "shot list". This is a list of photos that are the top of your "must-have" photos for your wedding day. Maybe you have a special necklace that was passed down from generation to generation, or you absolutely must have your friends, Sarah, Molly and Regan in a photo at the reception since you all met when you were in diapers at daycare! The point is, each couple is unique and different, we want to make sure we are capturing photos that are as unique as you!

When do I book an engagement session? We also suggest you pay attention to the facebook page for any announcements, such as when we are filling up for sessions (for your engagement session) if we are out of town, or any other generic notices. It is also a fun way to see what we've been up to lately! Depending on the time of year, you may need to book 6 weeks to 3 months out to get the date that works best for you. As a reminder, half your contract must be paid to book your engagement session.

My parents paid for the photographer, are they the client? The couple getting married is our client/s, no matter who send the check for booking. This means if you have a very hands on parent, you need to be the one to contact us. We will not discuss wedding details with anyone else in your family or friends. Please know this is to make it clear who is calling the shots and who has the authority to make changes. I love that you have family that are helping financially with your big day, but it is your day!

What is one of the most important things to do before our big day? Check what time the sun sets! If you are married in the winter, it may be 5:00 or summer could be 9:00. We love sunset photos, but your schedule and time of year you are getting married will dictate when sunset shots occur.

Who sets the timeline for the wedding day? You set the timeline, but we are happy to consult. Every couple is different, venue, time of year etc. You need to talk with your hair person on how long that will take, venue on how long you have the space and how long dinner may take, and talk with your other vendors such as your D.J for reception timeline. Take travel time into consideration between locations, as well as how likely your family/friends are to run late! Timeline will also vary if you have one or two photographers and whether you are seeing each other before the ceremony.

Do we need room for you on the party bus? Typically we follow the bus in our own vehicles. That allows you to do your thing while we go back to the reception site for cocktail hour photos. We hop on the bus to take photos/video of you at our photo spots.
